VRC-12 Program: The AN/VRC-12 series radios provide short range, 2-way FM radiotelephone vehicular communications in the 30-76 MHz frequency range. These radio sets are used in jeeps, trucks, tanks, and armored personnel carriers. They are also used in helicopters and in light planes, communication shelters and vans.

The main components of the VRC-12 series radios are the RT-246/VRC Receiver Transmitter, the RT-524/VRC Receiver Transmitter, the R-442/VRC Auxiliary Receiver, and the AM-1780 Amplifier.

VRC-12 Transformers: Magnetic Components, Inc. has been supplying transformers, reactors and filters for the VRC-12 program since 1961. In that time period, we have supplied tens of thousands of these to numerous prime and sub-contractors as well as directly for the U.S. government. Currently, many of these transformers are in stock and/or we have raw materials to manufacture many of these items.
